Yesterday, Julber went to visit his family in Apurimac. He has vacation from school this coming week, so he is going to see his mom and siblings for the first time in about a year. We are excited for him, because we know it is important for him to keep a relationship with his parents, but we are also praying for this trip to go well. The bus ride to his province was about 14 hours, then he had to ride a horse to his town another few hours away. Lucy went with him on the bus, but she cannot stay in Apurimac because she still has classes this week. There is also a possibility that his parents will want to keep him at home, because they miss him or are worried about his health or need his help around the house and farm.
So please be in prayer for Julber and his family. We are asking the Lord to keep him safe and pain-free on the bus and horse, to bless his family while they are together, and allow him to return to Arequipa where he receives good nutrition and medicine.
