Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about Julber.
Julber has been seen by numerous doctors and has had surgery multiple times, yet he still has not been diagnosed nor has his condition improved. (Sounds similar to the woman in Luke 5:25, no?) Right now he is living with Mike and Chenoah Styron and his older sister Lucy. The Styrons, Lucy, and a handful of other believers in Arequipa have felt it laid upon their hearts as a body of believers to intercede for Julber in prayer to God our Healer. James 1:27 says that "religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress," (NIV). God has put someone who is in need right the midst of our small church and we want to look after him to the best of our ability.
The three areas of supporting Julber that we are in the process of organizing are:
1. Finding a diagnosis for Julber's disease.
2. Treating the disease once it is diagnosed.
3. Helping him in the meantime to grow into a (wholistically) healthy adult by providing him with a healthy childhood and adolescence. This area includes providing him with an education and meeting his physical and spiritual needs.
We also welcome support in petitioning God to miraculously cure Julber! We know that God has not stopped showing Himself powerful in this way, and we earnestly await a miracle!

- Julber is a young boy from the mountains of Peru with a big heart and imagination and a beautiful smile. He also has a debilitating and undiagnosed disease that affects his mobility and growth. He is currently living in Arequipa, Peru away from his family in Apurimac, an Andean province. Julber is part of a small body of believers that is earnestly seeking God to heal him, and that wants to see Julber grow into a healthy man of God, physically and in all other aspects of life.
